Convert DVD files for editing with free software

Over the weekend I needed to take a 30 minute TV show and edit it to place on YouTube. Well, the Windows Movie Maker in my Windows Vista package could not read the DVD format and so the search for a way to convert the files began.

You get the benefit of my searching (and get to save a few hours). Go here and get the VOB2MPG program free. After you convert, you should be able to use the Windows Movie Maker Software that came with your Windows Vista to edit stubborn DVD's, without spending a dime.
