I can relate to this story. No, Nobody was offered a million bucks to move in my family, but of course, this story goes deeper than that.
A dozen years ago, my Dad was dying of cancer. He was given a few months. His brothers from Maine and Georgia came to visit one last time. And he stayed at home until the final week when he moved to a local hospice home.
My Mom was able to stay in that same house for 3 more years, because I returned to live there to help her prepare for a move to a smaller place. When she did move, it was extremely difficult to leave the house she spent 1/2 of her 68 years living in. It was the emotional attachment.
